A few weeks ago I was asked to participate in the Annual Pittsburgh Steelers Fashion Show at Heinz Field. This was my second year working with the Steelers for this great event which helped to benefit the Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute. As I begin to make the transition into working more and more with non-profits and NGO’s I am excited to be able to work with our local group of amazing projects here in Pittsburgh.

Reebok and American Eagle were the official outfitters for the fashion show, and everyone looked great on the runway. It was also great to have Julie from Pittsburgh Makeup on hand helping to get the girls ready for the show.

The three dresses were designed and made by Mrs. Tomlin, specifically with Heinz Field weddings in mind. They drew lots of cheers from the single ladies spread around the room.

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

I just shot my first wedding of 2010 with David Burke on January 1st. It was beautiful, and a great way to kick off this great year. More on that this week…

Well the Steelers football season is over. My dreams of seeing them in the playoffs have been crushed, and no one is to blame but them. Over, done, wam bam thank you ma’am. To even hope of getting to the playoffs after loosing five, count them 1,2,3,4,5 games is just ludicrous but being from Pittsburgh our hopes were that the stars would align and we would be in the playoffs… Things started strong with a win over Miami, but with Baltimore winning their game our hopes died.

So here is to a football season gone bye. And hoping for a better season next year. For all you that still have teams in the race, enjoy. See you at the Superbowl party!

Snow is here! And I made Pheasant!

Finally, winter has arrived in Western Pennsylvania. After a beautiful Wednesday afternoon with a high temperature of 56, Thursday morning i headed to 7 Springs for the first day of ski/snowboard season, and a brisk 22ºF that felt like 8ºF with the windchill on the chair lift.

At this point though, I dodnt really care how cold it is. I just want to ski! So Saturday I’m heading back up for my 2nd day, and the Rome Premature Jibulation. Depending on the weather, I may even bring out the cameras and take some time away from my riding, to watch some buddies throw down.

If you cant tell that im Excited, here is some more proof. WINTER IS HERE! YAY!

I then made my parents a pheasant dinner with fresh vegetables, cooked with red wine, carrots, celery, onions, and potatoes. I hope they saved some for me to try when I get back up there tomorrow.

Oh, and as for the Steelers game last night; WHAT AN EMBARRASSMENT! Seriously, they couldn’t score a touchdown against the BROWNS, who had won ONE game all SEASON!
